I had a blast at the symposium this years for my first time tabling I felt that i was pretty successful. my comics didn’t sell to well, and so I ended up giving most of them away. people were really interested in my “I heart Dinos” buttons.
My display was pretty sweet with my cool cardboard cutouts of my two characters Steve and Larry.
Being sandwiched between two of my good comic buddies was nice. conversation was good as we people watched. Lots of people that were dressed in normal Portland garb looked like they were wearing costumes.
My colleagues seemed to do well. Steve had a decent amount of half fold zines printed of his comic: Me&ering. I bought my favorite one. A 24 hour comic about a woman who paints her feelings. Brendon and Greg were there promoting there web comic , Mudtown Comics. I got one of there zines as well. Its nice to have a printed copy of some of my favorite comics.
I also ended up with a huge library of zines that i read every now and then when I’m on the bus!
I enjoyed this show so much that I am seeking other events to table at. If any one has any suggestions let me knows.
